The 2007 growing season was a moderate one even up in Amador; except for a burst of heat at the end, there were no terrible extremes. So the 2007 Amador Zin is a relatively gentle wine, much softer than most years. It's very drinkable and very tasty, with the classic cherry cola and spice character that defines Amador. Take a sip and taste the mother lode.
Concentrated rich aromas of cocoa, blackberry, black olive and vanilla come together to provide an expression of ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. Blackberry and cherry flavors, along with rich vanilla and hints of cinnamon hit the palate on the entry. Medium plus in body, soft but firm tannins with a long, signature finish.
