2007 Clos du Bois Sonoma Reserve Merlot

Prime Alexander Valley grapes from superb hillside and benchland vineyards form the core of the wine's depth and character. A dark ruby red color, this lush and deeply flavored Merlot bursts with aromas of violet, baking spices, mocha, ripe plum, blackberry, and intense black cherry. On the palate, it exhibits a full-bodied mouthfeel with delicious flavors of black cherry, mocha and toasty oak and finishes with the velvety, luxurious mouthfeel that marks fine Merlot.

2007 Ravenswood Amador Zinfandel

The 2007 growing season was a moderate one even up in Amador; except for a burst of heat at the end, there were no terrible extremes. So the 2007 Amador Zin is a relatively gentle wine, much softer than most years. It's very drinkable and very tasty, with the classic cherry cola and spice character that defines Amador. Take a sip and taste the mother lode.

2008 Wild Horse Merlot Paso Robles

Wild Horse makes its Merlot from Paso Robles, where vineyards west of the Santa Maria River contribute rich, ripe tannins and sites to the east provide a different array of aromas and flavors. When the fermented juice is blended together and aged for a year in a mix of French and Hungarian oak, the result is a wine full of spicy black and red fruit flavors enhanced by delightful acidity. Soft but structured tannins make this very enjoyable, easy-drinking wine one to look forward to for tomorrow’s dinner or for dinner sometime in 2015.

2010 Franciscan Estate Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Appearance: Pale straw

Aromas: Bright and inviting, with intense lime, grapefruit, and pear fruit aromas, enticing mineral notes, and hints of star jasmine and vanilla. Perfumed and appealing.
