| Vineyard Notes: | Grapes for the Kim Crawford Pinot Noir are harvested from various, cool climate vineyards throughout the winegrowing region of Marlborough, New Zealand. The Pinot Noir bunches were destemmed, cold-soaked for up to four days, and then inoculated with a mixture of pure and wild yeast. During fermentation, the Pinot Noir received daily punch-downs to coax every drop of flavor from the grapes. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in French oak barrels for five months. |
